Karnataka government effects major reshuffle of top officials

Bangalore: In a major shake-up of bureaucracy, the Karnataka Government transferred 36 senior IAS officers on Thursday.

Subir Hari Singh, Additional Chief Secretary to Government-cum-Development Commissioner, was transferred as Additional Chief Secretary in place of K Jairaj who retired from service today.

Kaushik Mukherjee, Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Forest, Ecology and Environment Department was posted as Additional Chief Secretary to Government-cum-Development Commissioner in place of Subir Hari Singh, an official notification here said.

The services of Dr CS Kedar on return from Government of India, were placed at the disposal of Urban Development Department for being posted as Chairman, Bangalore Development Authority relieving Subir Hari Singh of additional charge.

Anita Kaul, on return from Government of India, will be posted as Principal Secretary to Government, Planning, Programme Monitoring & Statistics Department in place of Sanjiv Kumar.

V Umesh, Principal Secretary to Government, Co-operation Department was transferred as Principal Secretary, Home Department in place of Dr SM Jaamdar who retired today.

MN Vidyashankar, Principal Secretary to Government, DPAR E-Governance was transferred as Principal Secretary to Government, Commerce & Industries Department in place of K Jothiramalingam, who attained superannuation today.

GV Krishna Rau, waiting for posting, has been posted as Principal Secretary to Government, Co-operation Department in place of V Umesh.

R Sridharan, on return from Government of India, will be posted as Principal Secretary to Government, Forest, Ecology and Environment Department in place of Kaushik Mukherjee.

Pradeep Singh Kharola, Commissioner for Commercial Taxes, Bangalore was transferred and his services were placed at the disposal of Urban Development Department for being posted as Commissioner, Bangalore Development Authority, Bangalore in place of Bharat Lal Meena.
