Bangalore: The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday dismissed a petition by former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa seeking quashing of two private complaints against him before the Lokayukta court alleging illegal denotification of lands.
Justice Anand Byrareddy dismissed the Mr Yeddyurappa's plea, who is the leader of Karnataka Janatha Paksha (KJP), observing it was "premature" at this juncture and also directed him to approach the lower court stating it was the correct forum.
Mr Yeddyurappa, his two sons, B Y Raghavendra, a Lok Sabha member, and B Y Vijayendra, besides his son-in-law R N Sohan Kumar are among those named in the complaints filed by advocate Sirajin Basha.
The two complaints pertain to alleged illegal denotification of lands in Rachenahalli, Vayali Kaval House Building Cooperative Society area and H S R Layout in Bangalore.
