Kerala can expect monsoon in the next 48 hours: Met office
Thiruvananthapuram: Conditions are favourable for the onset of the South West monsoon over Kerala in the next 48 hours, according to the IMD station in Thiruvananthapuram.

Rain occurred at a few places in Kerala and Isolated places in lakshadweep. The chief amounts of rainfall reported in cm are: Enamakkal, Vadakara 3 cm each; Kottayam, Chalakudy, Irinjalakuda 2 cm each; Kochi, Piravom, Kodungallur 1 cm each.

Maximum temperature was above normal in Kozhikode and Piravom district. It was also above normal in Ernakulam, Kannur, Kollam, Kottayam district and changed little in the remaining district.

Kozhikode and Palakkad reported the maximum highest temperature of 35 degree Celsius.
