Khammam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today resumed his 'Indiramma Bata' mass-contact programme in Khammam district.
Wearing the miner-uniform, Kiran Kumar Reddy went inside the mines of state-run Singareni Collieries at Manuguru and interacted with the workers.
The development works launched by the Chief Minister at Elchireddypalli village in Pinapaka mandal included roads and drinking water supply scheme.
Speaking at a public meeting in the village, he said the government was giving interest-free bank credit of Rs 13,000 crore for self-help groups of women.
Roads in Khammam district were being developed at a cost of Rs 1,079 crore, he said.
He also interacted with farmers.
Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker M Bhatti Vikramarka, minister R Venkata Reddy, Congress MP Balram Naik and MLA Rega Kanta Rao participated in the Chief Minister's programmes.
The Chief Minister also offered prayers at the famous Lord Rama temple at Bhadrachalam in the district.
