Chennai: A local shepherd who also served as a temple priest was killed by a leopard in the Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve forest area in Tamil Nadu on Friday.
According to forest officials, on Thursday 42-year-old Reshan went missing after he went into the forest along with his cattle. Later on Friday, during a search, his mutilated body was found in the forest.
This is the third person to be killed in leopard attack in the past two months. A forest guard and a local driver were killed recently in leopard attacks in the same area following which authorities had caught the man-eater alive.
