Erode : In the continuing crackdown on unauthorised vehicles transporting school children following the death of six year old girl in Chennai, Regional Transport Officials cancelled licences of six vans at nearby Bhavani.
RTO officials said the six vans were among the 150 checked in the area yesterday and found not functioning properly, following which their licences were cancelled.
On Friday officials slapped a fine of Rs 84,000 on 14 vehciles being operated without necessary permit.
