Hyderabad: The Lok Sabha on Friday passed the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill 2014 amid protests from members of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and others.
Following the passage of the bill, the House was adjourned till 2 pm.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh introduced the bill in the house, after which Telangana Rashtra Samiti Member of Parliament Vinod Kumar Boianapalli, along with Trinamool Congress MP Saugata Roy, opposed the debate on the bill.
Despite protests by Opposition members, the bill was adopted and passed, after which Speaker Sumitra Mahajan adjourned the house till 2 pm.
Following the passage of the bill, the House was adjourned till 2 pm.
