Kannur, Kerala: An LPG bullet tanker today caught fire after it overturned on the national highway at Kallyasseri, about 10 kilometres from Kannur.
The Indian Oil Corporation's lorry was coming from Mangalore to Kozhikode side when it overturned and caught fire, police said.
The driver and another person in the lorry sustained minor injuries in the incident, they said.
Traffic on the national highway has been diverted. People residing in one kilometre area, where the tanker overturned, have been shifted to safer places.
Fire and rescue personnel from Kannur and nearby areas are engaged in extinguishing the fire.
