Puducherry: M K Muthu, the eldest son of DMK patriarch and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, was today admitted to a private hospital in puducherry for the treatment of a respiratory problem.
Hospital sources said Mr Muthu was put on ventilator and was responding well to treatment and that his blood pressure was stable.
DMK sources here said Mr Muthu was travelling from Tiruvarur (Tamil Nadu) to Chennai for the treatment of a respiratory problem when he felt some discomfort en route. He was then admitted to the private hospital.
After receiving information, DMK functionaries from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, including the party's Puducherry unit convenor M A S Subramanian rushed to the hospital.
Hospital sources said Mr Muthu was put on ventilator and was responding well to treatment and that his blood pressure was stable.
