Chennai:
Madras High Court today donated a sum of Rs 1,34,86,192 towards the Prime Minister's National Relief fund for the relief and rehabilitation operations in the natural calamity-hit Uttarakhand.
Judges, staff members and subordinate judiciary had donated their one-day salary towards the rehabilitation of Uttarakhand.
The sum was deposited in Reserve Bank of India by the High Court Registry in favour of Prime Minister's Relief Fund, court sources said.
