Hyderabad:
In a mafia-style shootout, often seen in Bollywood films, three men accused of murder, were shot dead in broad daylight as they were coming in a vehicle from Gannavaram airport to Eluru in Andhra Pradesh.
The role of a professional gang is suspected in the incident, in which only the driver of the vehicle has managed to escape.
Images of the attackers' vehicle was caught on a CCTV camera at a toll gate two kilometres away. At the toll gate, they were filmed flinging money and driving away, without stopping.
Police say that the shoot-out was a response to the murder of Gautam Durga Rao, who was stabbed to death by the three men earlier this year on March 9. Police officials add that it was an old rivalry between two families in a village that led to this point.
The accused were in Mumbai previously as they were told not to stay in Andhra Pradesh after being given bail.
