Hyderabad: For the second time in two weeks, an Indian landing in Hyderabad from Bangkok has been caught trying to smuggle in gold in his underwear.
This morning, customs officials found a man with a kilo's worth of gold biscuits tucked into his underpants. The bars had been wrapped in several layers of carbon paper in an attempt to make the metal look like part of a belt buckle, said customs officials.
Last week, another passenger landing on a Thai Airways flight in Hyderabad was arrested with undeclared gold and yellow sapphires in his underwear.
