Coimbatore: A 55-year old man was injured when a leopard attacked him in a tea estate in hilly Valparai in Coimbatore district today, police said.
The incident occurred around 8 am and estate workers, on hearing his screams for help, rushed to the spot. The wild cat disappeared into bushes, they said.
Karuppasamy, who suffered injuries in the face and other parts, had been admitted to a private hospital in Coimbatore.
Forest department officials visited the estate and were planning to place a cage to trap the animal, they said.
