Manipal: The Karnataka Police today announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh for information on the suspects in the case of a young student's gang-rape. The police, which released a sketch of one of the three suspects yesterday, are yet to make an arrest.

The sketch has been made on the description given by the student.

The student was gang-raped on Thursday night, and is recovering at a local hospital. The 22-year-old's foot was fractured in the assault and there were injuries on her neck and hands.

She was on her way home from a late-night study session at the library at her college when she was allegedly grabbed by the group of men in an auto-rickshaw. They then drove her to a secluded spot nearby and gang-raped her, the police said, after which the woman was abandoned her in front of her hostel.

Footage from closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras near the place where she was kidnapped is reportedly unclear.
