Hyderabad:
Medical services were badly affected at various government hospitals in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday as junior doctors continued their protest over demand for clear guidelines on rural service.
Patients at various major hospitals in the state had a tough time as medicos were on strike in support of their demands for clear guidelines on rural service, among others.
The medicos have been staying away from duties, including emergencies at some places, over the last few days.
State health department officials held talks with representatives of the medicos late on Tuesday night but failed to end the impasse.
The government said the junior doctors appeared to have reservations about rural service though several of their demands were accepted.
The medicos, on the other hand, alleged that the government was not sincere in resolving the issue.
