Monorail Made of 20,000 Roses Displaced in Flower Show in Tamil Nadu

Udhagamandalam, Tamil Nadu: A model of Monorail made of about 20,000 roses was the cynosure of eyes in the two-day 118th Annual Flower show which began today at this famous hill resort town.
     
The 60 feet long, eight feet wide and 10 feet high monorail, considered a dream project of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, will be the major attraction at the show, inaugurated by the state Agriculture Minister, Agri Krishnamurthy, in the presence of senior district officials,
including the District Collector, P Shankar.
     
More than three lakh flowers, including Inca marigold, French Marigold and Lilian, were used for the show, being held at the botonical garden, displayed in 15,000 pots.
     
Another attraction for the tourists and visitors was a traditional Toda Hut made of 6,000 Zerebra, standing 10 foot in height and eight foot in width, with a seven-member family, including a couple and children standing out side it, made of 10,000 coronation flowers.
