Kozhikode: Air Customs Intelligence officials seized 1.150 kilograms of gold valued at Rs 35 lakh from a passenger who arrived by a Sharjah-Calicut Air India flight at the nearby Karippur International airport early today.
The passenger, identified as Mohammed Musthafa hailing from Kasargod district in Kerala, was taken into custody for questioning, Air Customs officials said.
The gold was hidden in the wheel chair brought by him, they said.
