Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa today said her government will come out with a new policy for the growth of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME).
She also told the assembly that a multi-storied industrial complex would be built here at an outlay of Rs.100 crore to house such units.
She said that in order to increase the competitiveness of the state's MSME sector at the international level, research would be carried out at an international scale.
This would compare the competitiveness of MSMEs in the state with similar units operating on a global scale, and steps would be taken to improve the state units, she said.
