The newly-elected MLAs and MP of Yuvajana Sramika Rytu Congress Party (YSR Congress) paid tributes to late Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy at his samadhi on Wednesday.
All the fifteen MLAs and MP visited the family estate of YSR Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at Idupulapaya near here, where the samadhi (memorial) is located, to pay their homage to the departed soul.
Talking to media at YSR Ghat, M Rajamohan Reddy, just elected Lok Sabha MP from Nellore, hoped that YSRCP would come to power whenever Assembly elections were held and usher in "golden era" for people, have who reposed trust in Mr Jagan, currently in jail in a disproportionate assets case.
Speaking on the occasion, YSRCP MLA B Sobha Nagi Reddy thanked the people for their overwhelming support to the party candidates in the June 12 by-polls.
Claiming that Telugu Desam colluded with the ruling Congress, she said that the YSRCP would act as the main Opposition in the state.
YSRCP won 15 out of the 18 Assembly seats and the lone Lok Sabha constituency where by-elections were held.
