With North East monsoon setting in, Met department officials have predicted more rains for the Southern region over the next few days following presence of "upper air circulation."
Rain or thundershowers would occur at most places over coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and at many places over interior Tamil Nadu, Kerala and few places over Lakshadweep, coastal Andhra Pradesh, a Met office bulletin said.
"Due to the presence of upper air circulation over coastal Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, rainfall is predicted over the next few days," an official said.
Pamban received the highest rain of over 33 mm as of 08.30 am today while Cuddalore recorded minimum of 0.1mm.
Isolated rain or thunder shower may occur over North Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema and Telangana.
