One dead and 20 others injured in a bus-lorry clash

Puducherry: A woman died and 20 people were injured when the bus, in which they were travelling, collided with a tipper-lorry, police said.

The private bus was going to Cuddalore from Puducherry when the accident took place near Kanganankuppam village.

Reportedly, the bus driver, in an attempt to overtake a vehicle, collided with the lorry coming from the opposite direction and after hitting a hut on the side of the road the vehicle came to a halt.

Those injured have been hospitalised.
