Kochi:
Petrol outlets in some parts of Kerala have downed shutters on Monday following a 24-hour strike in support of their various demands.
All Kerala Federation of Petroleum Traders and Kerala State Petroleum Traders Association have given the strike call demanding, among other things, permission to open new fuel outlets only under strict criteria.
Some outlets belonging to the Petroleum dealers Association in Ernakulam district and petrol stations in Thiruvananthapuram, Alapzuha and Malappuram districts are not participating in the strike.
