Madurai:
Police in Madurai are on the lookout for a man who had sent a bomb in a parcel. Police had defused the bomb which was sent with a timer device.
According to a senior police officer last night an unidentified man had left a parcel at a jewellery shop in the city, to be delivered to a real estate developer who's office in the same building was shut then.
Police was alerted soon after the parcel was opened. The city police have now generated a portrait of the man based on the information given by eye witnesses and are investigating.
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi was scheduled to participate in a conference on the outskirts of the city today but his programme was cancelled a few days ago.
Last October a bomb was found on BJP leader L K Advani's route, under a bridge on the outskirts of the temple town.
