Police nab two over IPL cricket betting

Bangalore: Two persons have been arrested for allegedly running an illegal betting racket on Indian Premier League (IPL) matches and Rs 15.51 lakh cash, 34 mobile phones and laptops have been seized from them, police said.

One of them was held after police raided a hotel on a tip off about illegal betting going on in a Deccan Chargers-Rajasthan Royals match, they said.

The man, on being questioned, told police that the other person was operating from a guest house in Kaup village in Udupi district, following which he was arrested.
