Mandya:
A Polish couple have been reported missing since yesterday after setting out on a boat ride in the Cauvery river in Karnataka from Tamil Nadu and efforts are on to trace them, police said.
According to a complaint lodged with police by S Jayaprabha, Manager of TENNCO Automotive India Pvt., Ltd., at Hosur in Tamil Nadu, his colleague Ian Turton and his wife embarked on their boat ride from Denkanikote to Muthathi in Karnataka on May 19.
The couple maintained contact with him on mobile and internet till yesterday after which there was no further communication, he said.
Mandya District Superintendent of Police Koushalendra Kumar, who visited Muthathi along with top police officials, said a search is on for the missing couple.
