Narendra Modi has sent out birthday wishes in Tamil to legendary actor Rajinikanth, who turned 64 on Friday. The prime minister wished the "legendary" artist a long life.
PM Modi took to Twitter to reach out to the cinema czar on the special day, when his film "Lingaa" also hit the screen.
"On his birthday, I extend greetings to the legendary Rajinikanth ji. May he remain in the best of health and have a long life. @superstarrajini," read the post on the Twitter handle @narendramodi.
A similar message was later posted in Tamil.
Most of Rajinikanth's films have not only had successful innings at the box office, but they have also left indelible impressions on his fans' minds. Be it his 'Mind it' dialogue or his iconic style of using his glares - the 'Thalaivaa' has managed to create trends galore throughout his career.
Giving a treat to his fans, Rajinikanth is out with his film "Lingaa" on his birthday, which has been released after facing plagiarism charges. The movie also stars Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha.
