Kochi:
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will reach Kochi on Wednesday on a two-day visit to Kerala.
Upon arrival, he would declare open the 'Emerging Kerala' meet, which will showcase opportunities in the state.
Later in the evening, he will inaugurate the Kerala Kalamandalam Deemed University for Art and Culture's South Indian Performing Arts Museum at Thrissur.
After overnight stay in Kochi, he will lay the foundation stone of the Rs 5,181.79 crore Kochi Metro project on September 13. The project will cover a length of 25.612 km in the first phase and is being jointly funded by the state and central governments.
He will later inaugurate the Kerala Union of Working Journalists golden jubilee celebrations and leave for New Delhi around noon.
