Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala:
Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi is expected to take part in the ongoing 'Yuva Kerala Yatra' led by State Youth Congress President Dean Kuriakose tomorrow.
The Yatra from Kasargod to Thiruvananthapuram, flagged-off last month, has reached Alappuzha district and it would proceed to nearby Pathanamthitta district tomorrow.
"Gandhi would join the padyatra tomorrow for sometime," party sources said. He would arrive in Kochi and would proceed to Alappuzha, sources said.
In view of Mr Gandhi's visit, security has been tightened in the area, sources said.
The 'Yuva Kerala Yatra' highlighting slogans of 'secularism and non-violent society', was inaugurated by KPCC president and state Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala.
