Justice Rajesh Kumar Agrawal was today sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court.
Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah administered the oath of office to Agrawal at a function at the Raj Bhavan.
Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and top officials of the administration were present during the swearing-in.
Born on May 5, 1953, Agrawal moved to the Madras High Court on February 7, 2013 as acting Chief Justice and was recently appointed as Chief Justice.
