Chennai : The National Highways Authority of India(NHAI) is finalising the Detailed Project Report(DPR) for six laning of its road between Tambaram and Tindivanam, two important towns on NH 45 sector.
"NHAI is now finalising the six laning of road between Tambaram and Tindivanam. Further orders would soon come out regarding this," official sources said.
NHAI had earlier finalised the DPR of six laning between Chennai and Bangalore.
The distance of 92 km between Tambaram and Tindivanam is an important stretch for traffic flowing south of the state capital and is notorious for recording most number of accidents in the state.
According to the State Traffic Planning Cell, the road stretch between Tambaram and Mamandur on the NH 45 recorded most number of road accidents in the state last year.
"NHAI is now finalising the six laning of road between Tambaram and Tindivanam. Further orders would soon come out regarding this," official sources said.
