Thrissur, Kerala: About Rs 20 lakhs, including a box containing gold pendants, kept in the strongroom of the famous Srikurumba Bhagavathy temple at nearby Kodungallor in Kerala, was found missing this morning.
Police said the amount was the offerings of devotees received in connection with the annual Bharani festival of the temple held on April 1.
The thieves gained entry into the strongroom after breaking open its doors, police added.
