Coimbatore:
Seven persons, with symptoms of dengue have been admitted to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, even as Corporation officials said they are taking all out efforts to prevent its spread.
A 20-year old man from Podanur on the city outskirts, one person each from neighbouring Erode and Karur and four from nearby Tirupur were hospitalised, hospital sources said.
As part of preventive measures, corporation started fogging operations in mosquito-breeding prone areas and urged the public to take steps to prevent water stagnation in their areas, particularly in drainages, plastic bags or discarded tender coconut shells.
