Udhgamandalam, Tamil Nadu: A shopkeeper was today arrested from Coonoor near in Udhgamandalam for stocking books meant for free distribution in government schools, while a search is on for the principal of a higher secondary school from where similar books were seized, police said.
Revenue officials had seized nearly 400 textbooks meant for free distribution from the shop and private school in Coonoor yesterday.
Based on a complaint, the shopkeeper was arrested, police said. A special team has been formed to nab the principal, who is reportedly at large, they said.
