Kochi:
Communist Party of India -Marxist (CPI-M) MLA TV Rajesh, detained in connection with the murder of an IUML worker in February this year, has moved the Kerala High Court seeking bail.
Rajesh, who had surrendered before the Kannur Judicial First class magistrate court on August 13, soon after the High Court rejected his anticipatory bail plea, submitted that the case was politically motivated.

The petition will come up before the court next week.
CPI-M Kannur district secretary, P Jayarajan, is among those arrested in the case.
Jayarajan and Rajesh had been charged under section 118 of IPC (concealing design to commit offence punishable with death or imprisonment for life) in connection with the murder of IUML worker Shukkoor at Keezhara on February 20 a few hours after the attack on a car in which Jayarajan and Rajesh were travelling at Ariyil.
