Hyderabad: Members of the Sikh community in Hyderabad on Monday strongly condemned the shooting at a Gurudwara at Wisconsin in US in which at least six persons were killed.
Around 300 members of the Sikh community, under the banner 'Andhra Pradesh Sikh Welfare Association' gathered in front of the US Consulate office in Begumpet with placards and banners and staged a peaceful demonstration for about two hours.
A delegation also submitted a memorandum to the Consulate officials condemning the killing.
The officials told the delegation that the incident was "unfortunate" and that they regretted the heinous killing, a release said.
They also said that the matter would be brought to the notice of the higher authorities, the release added.
