South Central Railway Cancels Chennai-Bound Trains Due to Flooding

Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh: The South Central Railway (SCR) today fully or partially cancelled trains due to flooding of a railway bridge on the Chennai- Gudur sector.

These are mostly Chennai Central-bound trains from different cities of the country, including Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Vijayawada, Chandigarh, Ahmedbad and Jaipur, among others, a SCR release said.

Meanwhile, SCR is running a special train to ferry passengers stranded in rain-ravaged Chennai. The train, which is leaving at 21:00 hrs today, will run between Kakinada and Chennai Beach.
