State government, Congress not linked to CBI probe against Jagan: Kiran Kumar Reddy
Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today said neither his party (Congress), nor the state government has any connection with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry against Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, prime accused in disproportionate assets case.

"CBI will take its own course. The party and the state government has no connection with the CBI inquiry into Jagan's companies," he said, while speaking to reporters soon after his arrival from Hyderabad.

The CBI had yesterday approached the banks for freezing the accounts of Jagati Publications and Indira TV, owned by the YSR Congress chief Jaganmohan Reddy. The move by the agency had come a day after a special CBI court in Hyderabad issued summons, directing Mr Jaganmohan to appear before it on May 28 in a disproportionate assets case.

The Chief Minister arrived in Visakhapatnam to attend a Congress workers' meeting that is to take place at the S Rayavaram mandal in Payakaraopeta assembly constituency, where, by-elections are scheduled in coming June.
