Chennai : The entire Kollywood would halt its activities in Chennai tomorrow and stage a day-long fast demanding the rehabilitation of Tamils displaced in Sri Lanka.
Artistes, directors, producers, distributors and exhibitors would undertake the 'hunger-strike' at the South Indian Film Artists' Association premises to espouse the cause of Tamils in Sri Lanka, film industry sources said.
Leading artistes and prominent personalities of the film world are expected to participate in the agitation.
Personalities of the Tamil celluloid world are the latest to stage a protest over the issue, which has generated heat in the state in recent weeks with various sections of people, including students, taking to the streets demanding among other things an independent probe into alleged war crimes.
