Chennai: The 65th Republic Day was celebrated across Tamil Nadu Sunday, with Governor K. Rosaiah unfurling the national flag at the Marina beach in Chennai.
Rosaiah also took salute from the armed forces and other security agencies.
Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, her ministers and a large number of people enjoyed the floats and dances by school and college students.
Earlier, Mr Rosaiah visited the Victory War Memorial and laid a wreath in remembrance of those who died for the country.
