Chennai: Tamil Nadu Police on Wednesday arrested a doctor based in Salem for his alleged involvement in the kidney selling racket, said police.
Nephrologist Ganesan, working in the Vinayaka Mission Hospital in Salem, around 340 km from Chennai, was arrested by police based on a complaint.
Police are also planning to inquire in the hospitals with which Ganesan was associated.
The arrest takes to six the number of people arrested for involvement in the kidney sale racket in and around Dharmapuri district.
