Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu:
An elderly couple was allegedly murdered by their relative at a village near Vedaranyam over a property dispute, police said.
The relative Narayanasamy, who surrendered before the police after the murder was arrested, police said.
Addding to that, the police said that Shanmugam (60) and his wife Nagavalli (55) had some disputes with Narayanasamy over a property.
Narayanasamy went to Shanmugam's house this morning. He strangled the couple, slit their throat and stabbed them both.
The couple died on the spot.
