Sivaganga : Union home minister P Chidambaram on Sunday said farmers in Tamil Nadu would receive training for best farm practices and production, medicinal plant cultivation and herbal produce under a scheme being implemented by National Skill development Fund Corporation.
The scheme to impart these practices is being implemented by National Skill Development Fund Corporation in collaboration with the European Union at a cost of Rs seven crore, he said after inagurating a farmers' training centre at Peravalur in the district.
