Namakkal, Tamil Nadu:
Thirty-five detonators were seized in Namakkal on Thursday and one person has been arrested in connection to this, police said.
Police confirmed that the man, Sivakumar, was also carrying 60 metres of wire and a kilogram of carbon powder on his motorcycle.
He was on his way to a quarry when police found him allegedly carrying the detonators and wire without a proper licence.
A case has been registered against Mr Sivakumar under various sections of the IPC and Explosives Act, police said, adding, another person who was accompanying him managed to escape.
