Chennai: An eighteen year old factory worker who was traveling to Andhra Pradesh by train was allegedly raped by a co-passenger, early on Sunday in Tamil Nadu's Salem district.
The incident, according to the police, took place when the young lady left the train to collect her purse that fell outside at an unscheduled stop.
The accused, on seeing her leave, followed her, forced her to the bushes along the track and violated her as the train left.
The lady has been sent to a home after medical examination.
