Rajahmundry:
The Seemandhra Lawyer Joint Action Committee (JAC) has called a 48-hour-bandh in the 13 districts of Seemandhra in Andhra Pradesh in protest against the Union Cabinet's decision to give nod to the creation of Telangana.
The two-day-long bandh will commence from tomorrow, JAC co-convener Muppalla Subba Rao said in a statement tonight urging lawyers in the region to make the bandh a success.
"The decision taken by the Central Cabinet on the division of the state is a disrespect for the people of Andhra Pradesh... It has hurt their sentiment," Rao was quoted as saying in the statement.
