Three people were detained on Wednesday outside M A Chidambaram cricket stadium, where the first IPL match was underway, when they distributed pamphlets and held aloft boards expressing solidarity with activists protesting against Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant, police said.
Two men and a woman, activists of an international NGO known for its anti-nuclear stand, were seen distributing pamphlets against Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant to those who came to watch the match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians and were detained, police said.
They said the activists have only been detained and not arrested.
