Madurai, Tamil Nadu: Three persons, who attempted to break open an ATM near Madurai, were arrested on Monday, police said.
Police said the trio had smashed the camera, and tried to break the ATM using a crowbar around midnight on Sunday.
Police with the help of local people arrested them. Though they smashed the camera, their images had been recorded, police said.
Police are also investigating if the gang was involved in a robbery at a bank nearby.
