City Police on Monday arrested three persons on charge of manufacturing fake Indian currency and seized counterfeit notes with face value of Rs 2 lakh.
While G Anji Reddy, who earlier worked as a reporter and later turned to the real estate business, was apprehended by the sleuths of the Commissioner's Task Force (Central Zone) from Bowenpally, two of his associates were picked up from Medak district when they were allegedly trying to dispose of the counterfeit notes, police said.
Reddy manufactured the fake currency notes in denomination of Rs 500 with the help of his two aides, they said, adding the trio have been handed over to Bowenpally police.
