Three injured as television set explodes

Dindigul: Three members of a family suffered injuries after a TV set exploded, police said today.

They had forgotten to switch off the TV during load-shedding at Govindapuram near Dindigul last night and when power resumed, it exploded.

The injured have been admitted to hospital.

An official of the electricity department told police that the TV would have exploded due to sudden rush of high voltage of power.
