Three killed in wall collapse in Tamil Nadu

Salem, Tamil Nadu: Three persons of a family were killed and a few were injured when a mud wall of their house collapsed due to heavy rains in Salem in Tamil Nadu today, police said.

The family members of Srinivasan of Ponnamapettai were fast asleep in their tiled house when the mishap occurred around 4 am.

Three persons, including Srinivasan, died on the spot while his wife and two children aged two and four were injured and have been hospitalised, police said.

Salem and surrounding districts have been experiencing heavy rains for the past three days.
